"My problems started when I got injuries from attempting 225 bench in early 2019. I tore my left pec major which led to shoulder/ rotator cuff (supraspinatus) injuries. Q:  What type of equipment do I need?

A:  

FOR THE RESISTANCE TRAINING:

Required: EITHER a cable machine OR dumbbells, and a flat bench 

Optional*: 

     -Adjustable dual-cable machine

     -Adjustable incline / decline bench

     -Barbell & weight plates (a preacher bar or swiss bar is preferred over a flat bar)

     -Pull-up bar

     -Small exercise ball (or any ball roughly the size of a soccer ball or basketball)

     -Battle ropes

*99% of the exercises / lifts in the program that use equipment are either free-weight based or cable-based. It's ideal to have access to both, HOWEVER, the program was developed so that it can be completed by those who only have access to one or the other by using the Alternative Options section included in each module. For example, if a particular exercise uses a cable machine.. then the Alternative Options section will specify a free weight exercise that achieves the same benefits, and for exercises that use free weights it will give a cable alternative. The Alternative Options section will also specify dumbbell alternatives for exercises that use barbells. The other 1% of exercises that use equipment outside of standard free weights or cables (i.e. exercise balls) will all have alternatives specified as well.

The Alternative Options section not only specifies what exercise to use as a substitute, but will actually provide a video demonstration for the alternative exercise as well right there in the module!

FOR THE PT / FLEXIBILITY & MOBILITY

Required: Household items only

The flexibility & mobility section of the program was uniquely developed so that it can be completed using only common household items! (i.e. doorways, walls, couches, rags, etc)  

Q:  How is the program material accessed / delivered?  

  A:  The course material is all delivered via the Dr. Gains Online Program Platform, which is accessible by - and compatible with - all devices (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.). After purchasing a program you will be directed to create your account (if it's the first Dr. Gains program you've purchased), and login to the platform. If you're registered for more than one Dr. Gains program at the same time, they will all be there!

-The platform will track your progress and save your place so that you can pick up right where you left off on any device (even mid-video)!

-The 8 Stages are delivered on a weekly "drip schedule" the day before the next stage is scheduled to begin. For example, on Day 6 of the program Stage 2 will become available. On Day 13 Stage 3 will become available, and so forth.

The first stage of the program is scheduled to start on a Monday... but you change that to whatever day of the week you want (although for best results you should stay consistent with whatever day you choose).
